First off, apologies for the lack of updates on the site. Not only did I move to a new place in DC over the summer, but I’ve still managed to stay quite busy with laying down remixes as well as some new productions for the next album (I won’t say just yet what they sound like…you’ll have to wait!)
Anyway, if you’re in the DC area this month, I have a couple LIVE shows lined up. The first one is on Saturday, Sept. 11th at U Street Music Hall and I’ll be opening up for Miami Horror. It should be a stellar show! The second gig will be at The Galaxy Hut on Sunday, Sept. 19th.
As usual, I’ll be performing special LIVE versions of tracks from my recent album Autonomous. These live versions have been getting a lot of love and so I’ve decided to go ahead and release them as a special remix album called Autonomix which will be out later this year (on my label Output Noise Records)! Stay tuned for my info on that one.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the ArjanWrites.com Superfraiche Pop Night a couple of weeks ago. It was great being up in NYC again and I had blast performing and also seeing Reni Lane and Beautiful Small Machines do their thing on stage! Below are some photos from the night:

The nice folks over at BYT (Brightest Young Things) have written a lengthy review of the show I played at The Fridge last weekend with Bluebrain and Autorock. I think they enjoyed it…

Baltimore techno label MORE OR LESS (on which I’ve put out a couple of releases this year) has been throwing the monthly MOL techno parties for two years now and will celebrate their anniversary this Friday. Unfortunately, the MOL parties will no longer be as frequent, but apparently this will make the label and the party even stronger in the future (see their explanation below.) I will be spinning at the event and so you should come out as this might be the last time you see me playing at the Hexagon in a little while.
“2 years, 4 venues and 4,000 beers later MOL is coming to the end of it’s current chapter. MOL as a monthly is no more, but MOL as a one off event and roaming sound system is soon to be. We are taking this break as the perfect opportunity to develop our roster and catalog on the label side as well as plan out upcoming events in the Baltimore area. Thanks for supporting our parties month in and month out.”

Every week local and national DJs from all over the east coast play a wide variety of music, including downtempo, indie rock, house, dubstep, reggae and minimal techno.
We’ve got $2 beers, $3 Pomegranate Martinis and $4 Ketel One martinis until 8pm, with drink prices going up by just a dollar after that. There is also a special $2 tapas menu from Skewers all night long, as well as that restaurant’s full menu; extensive vegetarian options are available"

An old Outputmessage live set has been posted on beatbots.com as a part of the locals+freaks podcast. It was performed March 2005 in Lansing, MI in the studio of my friend Patrick’s (part of the bmore/electro" crew) radio show. You’ll hear a lot of tracks from Nebulae before it was Nebulae and also some material that has yet to be released.
